The name

Pimu is Santa Catalina Island.

Pimu is the Tongva name for Catalina. Its seafaring people crossed the 17-mile channel from the Palos Verdes peninsula in finely crafted canoes.

The boat

Offshore optimized. One Design capable.

Hull 008 left Nautor's yard in Pietarsaari, Finland in 2017. A 2025/26 refit set her up for offshore racing with a triple-headed reaching sail plan. She sails under ORR and ORC today and can return to the ClubSwan 50 one-design start line after a few small changes.
